If you have a moment please be a good Samaritan and drop by with your input into the problems these folks are trying to figure out.

I recently got OS X. I love the machine, just a few quirks about it. I have a high-end machine, but when I try to record in World of Warcraft, it always stops my recording and says my system is not up to par. It also cuts some of the video, for example, on top I see half of the name. Is there a software for the Mac that is equivalent to let’s say Fraps for the PC? If so, what do people use?

Is Acer a good and reliable monitor company?

Shortly after installing SP3 for WinXP, I noticed that in certain older games such as Line of Sight: Vietnam and Delta Force Extreme, the keyboard would often behave as though I’d pressed a directional button (one of the WASD’s) for too long and kept me moving in that direction, well after I’d lifted my finger from the key—with unfortunate consequences.

I swapped my USB keyboard out for an older PS2 keyboard and installed its drivers, but the problem persists. Thing is, this only afflicts those older games; I don’t see this behavior while playing Rainbow Six, or Far Cry (yeah, finally!), or any other FPS.

I’ve checked the keyboard options in the Windows control panel and don’t see any setting there that might apply to my situation. Anybody have ideas about the cause and the cure?

I recently picked up a Yamaha AV receiver (model RX-V363) because of the component and HDMI inputs it offers. My problem right now is that my HDTV (61-inch Hitachi CRT rear projection) does not have any HDMI or DVI inputs, only component.

So, my question is, can I run HDMI to the receiver, from my Xbox 360 for example, and still get the signal out to my TV via component cable. (Or, if not the full signal, at least the video signal… I can still run the audio via optical audio cable) I was getting conflicting answers from the local big box store, and I would like to know for sure before I head over to bluejeanscable.com to order some HDMI cable.

I have an 8800GT 512mb video card. So why is my computer telling me that I have 991mb of video RAM? Just thought I would ask in case it was something serious. I have been gaming (very moderately at best. C&C 3 and Kanes Wrath) and have not noticed any performance differences, positive or negative.
